  2. We may as well just throw the language out completely if we're going with that then. Why not pronounce it jibber-ty-nah-jah? Makes about as much sense. I'm curious as to where that pronunciation came from and how it stuck around in English.

  3.  @lydiamichaels1976  I think it's absolutely absurd that people change language in ways that don't conform to any basic tenants whatsoever. There's no type of sounding out of that word that's even remotely possible given any variation of how those letters are supposed to sound in English. My mommy and my daddy sharing 50% DNA have nothing to do with the logic of what I'm saying. That pronunciation literally makes no sense as a word.
