Intros are my pet peeve by far. All genres. Don't spend a minute of your 8 minute science video explaining the reason we should care about the video we already friggen clicked on, and even worse is when some will try to build suspense about a topic that they've already revealed in the damn title. Just get on with it!

And the answer was terrible. If I had never heard of a bond, that explanation would've made no sense to me.

He's like Jordan Peterson in that you have to listen to a decent amount of them before you can listen and have it just sink in. They have odd ways of talking, and it's often extremely vague yet oddly specific.
7
I didn't so I spent $15 to avoid 100's of ads every month.

FFS people are still calling Jan 6 is an insurrection? Good lord. Yeah, the people with the guns came without the guns and walked around the capital after some jagoffs smashed the windows and broke in. If that's an insurrection then it was the worst insurrection ever, and spearheaded by the friggen FBI. You can hate it, you can talk all you want about how awful it was and what a dark moment for America it was, but to call it an insurrection is just stupid because words have meanings and what happened wasn't an insurrection by definition, end of story.

Jim Rogers I was a famous investor, and he went literally all over the world. When he would end up in some random sketchy nation, the first thing he would do is go talk to prostitutes, because they always knew what was going on. They always knew if dignitaries and people were in town, and I think you know why. They had the real scoop on who is in town and why. He didn't want to talk to some self-serving Jackalope who thought he knew everything. He wanted to talk to the people who are right there on the ground who have no agenda.

@ghostlack Yes I could use an ad blocker. I couldn't be bothered. I'd rather pay and not have to worry about it.

@curtism4548 Bret's accuracy rate on factual things is quite high. People say he's full of it but don't provide examples. He gets extra hate because he went from full progressive lefty to reluctant Trump supporting politically homeless guy. Nobody gets more hate than a former lefty. Trump was a democrat most of his life.

He had 4 years and drained nothing. He did, however, become the very first politician I've ever heard say that he wants to audit the government as a whole. That is fantastic and I really hope he wins.

Jon Comer was pro for Powell and he had a prosthetic from the knee down on his front foot. Where there's a will there's a way. Go for it!

I am unsubscribing, but probably only temporary early. I just wanna help send a message. Different points of you are fantastic and I welcome them, but they have to come within a country mile of being grounded in reality. So much of what he says is just blatantly incorrect. I love listening to people have totally different points of view from Me, but that's not what this is. This guy is something different entirely.

@planetbizzaro1839 You think big tech doesn't already know more about you than you do? Apple or Samsung knows where you are at all times, how fast you got there, what you said, what you dreamed last night and how many times you shook after peeing.

I am all for listening to a hard-core Marxist or a psychopath or a hardcore drug lover. I'm all for listening to somebody completely on the other end of the spectrum from me. I find it fascinating and I often learn something and they usually give me something to think about. This guy is different though. He is an absolute pathetic clown. I can't listen to anyone who is just completely incorrect with almost everything they say. He doesn't have opinions, he has falsehoods. There's a difference.
1
I'm gonna try and get as far as I can. I can't stand this pathetic clown but I've never heard him on somebody else's show so I'm going to give him an honest try. Judging by the comments I won't last very long though.
1
Of course, he doesn't think they are partisan. They are on his team. And that's the pathetic part about the modern leftists. They honestly don't think they have a side. They just think they have reality itself. It's so arrogant.
1
Incorrect. Both sides think they are right. It's absolutely crazy that people can look at the exact same set of circumstances and draw polar opposite conclusions. Well, the fact that the machine is left wing and unbelievably disingenuous certainly plays a role. The average person doesn't know it though. They have no idea.

I've scrolled several hundred comments and yours is literally the very first one I've seen that painted him in a good light. You might wanna reflect on that because this is the comment section of a pretty centrist channel.

I'm all for different points of view. I really enjoy people who are very far from me ideologically, but that's not what this guy is. He is not living in reality. Almost everybody has something to offer me and I'll actually. This guy is one of the rare exceptions. He's such a blind partisan that all he does is shill for his team. He's an extremist. He will say, and do anything to defend his tribe. That's not the type of person who is willing to engage and open and honest conversation. That's not the type of person who has anything to offer. He has gone on Podcasts where people treated him with respect, and then he goes on his show in tears them to shreds. He's not acting in good faith. Maybe that's the best way to explain it. He just seems like a bad human being. There are lots of people who I really like who I think I've completely insane ideas that are terrible. But that's just a difference of opinion. Again, this guy is something different. He is an absolute cancer.
1
I've noticed zero people criticizing him in the comment section actually point out anything he said that's incorrect. You guys just insult him. Insulting somebody is not an argument. That's just your feelings.

Because to them, GDP (even if driven by the fact that foreign scared money comes to America becasue it's the least bad in terms of places to park your cash), and a healthy stock market (propped up by all the money printing) is all that matters. GDP is up and the market is up? Times are good!

@hoagied3783 100%. He explicitly said that it was a good thing that the powers that be conspired to hide that story and lie about it. There's no reading between the lines. Sam is an absolute clown and I can't for the life of me figure out how people take him seriously. He is the only member of the IDW that I never liked in any capacity. From the moment I heard him years ago he rubbed me the wrong way.
1
Exactly. Sam is lost. He makes the most emotional arguments possible, but he does it with a monotone voice, so people think he's being rational and reasonable. Your example is him very explicitly stating that he thinks it's OK for big government and giant corporations to collude against political opponents. Can somebody please explain to me how Sam is taken seriously? How can anyone think it's OK for intelligence agencies and a current administration to literally concoct a conspiracy to try to swing a POTUS election? F Sam Harris. He's the worst.
1
What insurrection? Do you mean when those people broke into the capitol building? That's a basic B&E for some, and lawful entry for everyone else after that who the cops let go on in.
1
"There are forces at play that are inexorably linked which can collude with or without conscious effort to embark on a journey of directional certainty if the system is complex enough to obfuscate it's intentions" Bret, probably, when asked whether he wants pizza or Chinese for dinner.
1
I'd give anything to work from home but with my job it's not possible at all.
1
@greyblob1101 So they DID show up with guns? So there were NOT FBI agents in the crowd as agitators? This DOES fit the dictionary definition of insurrection? I'm not sure what you're trying to say because I wasn't getting my opinion about anything. Everything I listed actually happened. I don't know why I engage online with Lefty's. I should know better. Almost never do they actually have substance. They make entirely emotional arguments, or just condescendingly attack. Until you guys figure out why you got your ass handed to you in the last election, it's going to happen again and again.

17:55 Thank you for being one of the very few mega rich podcasters tell be so blatant about your wealth. Most seem to sort of lump themselves in with the common man as if they aren't loaded as hell. It's a sort of deception by omission. Side note: I'm very rarely impressed with the intelligence of someone this young. He certainly doesn't come across like a 23yr old.
