  1. Exactly. Zealots of all kinds leave idiotic comments, but overall the JP fan comments are far better constructed, more rational and pragmatic and thoughtful than those of the far left.

  2. What makes you not a fan of JP? This is how he is all the time. He pours through the literature of those who came before him, then delves into historical biology, then formulates his opinions. You may not agree with his conclusions, but that doesn't mean you don't have to like the guy. He's at least worthy of respect because he goes about debate the way everyone should: using actual evidence to try to bolster your claims and then letting the chips fall where they may. I have found that large number of JP haters haven't actually taken the time to listen to long form discussions with him and that's sad because his main message is: sort yourself out and be the best you that you can be that's the best base to start with when you want to improve the world. How he's "controversial" is beyond me. The hit pieces on him are so full of absolutely dishonesty it's insane. Disagree with his opinions all you want, but do it honestly.

  3. What? JP getting mad at identity politics coming into this is his whole deal, so why is it somehow how telling? Your comment makes no sense. I perfect example of JP's whole point comes to the surface and he points it out and somehow you're finding that "sublime"?
