In the United States defense lawyers don't work for the court. They can say anything they want to get their client off. In Canada and England the character of the victim and past actions aren't allowed as evidence.

  16.  @yodieyuh : You've got your own little mind-set going that you don't want to change. The United States court system is different. Defense lawyers aren't court employees. They can say or do anything to get their client off, including not handing in all their evidence to the court. The character of Floyd George and previous events would not be allowed as evidence in a Canadian or English court. Only the events that resulted in his death would be allowed. No autopsy report said he over-dosed.

  17.  AweZum Alice : I know what you're saying. The court system should use their evidence and videos to make the documentaries and TV episodes to try and recover their costs. Recreating the scene of the crime, reconstructing the cause, are nice jobs for people to play with even when the guilt is obvious.

  18.  @yodieyuh : You are correct in saying the court has not made a ruling. The trial is ongoing. The autopsy, both of them, says it was trauma to his neck that caused his death. That's evidence. I hope you realize that Floyd George went shopping and was walking down the street. If he did drugs enough to overdose he would have died where he did the drugs.
