@ohheyemmi So I'm addressing someone who is technically a Scottish lady. You should aspire to being a lassie with a laddie by your side. There are no Scottish natives. My clan system, or tribe, came from Jewish political refugees fleeing to their northern salmon fishing ground, where warm Atlantic currents keep beaches from freezing. Edinburgh is pronounced "eden-burra", meaning "Eden of the North". Another clan system came as refugees after the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth, moving to outer islands now called Hebrides, meaning "being of Hebrew". Watt, yes, the weir'd and the wire'd, is my family name. Buchanan is my clan name, in Gaelic it's Canonach, formerly House of David. "Galaxy brain". Modern people know the earth is round but not everyone has a global conscience, or as galaxy brain, understanding eternity. Bay-an-uck-let, blessings on you, in the language of the Garden of Eden, now known as Iraq. Now, if you said 'agus oo hane a haritch", you as well my friend, we could really talk. Scot is pronounced "scoot", a nick-name about how we fled. Thanks for helping me feel it.

@ohheyemmi Thank you, thank you very much for your revealing narrative. However, you leave me behind with all the British culture you describe. You didn't mention Benny Hill, so that's good. I'm surprised you didn't mention Monty Python. My high school friends got together every Wednesday night to watch the original half-hour, black and white show, a big influence on our humour. When there was no cable TV, just antenna reception, the father of one friend was a police officer. His house was set up to receive broadcasts from the police station as Channel 25, talking to him through the television, and Channel 25 came with Monty Python. That's the summer Cat Stevens hit it big with "Tea for the Tillerman" and John Lennon had "Jealous Guy" out with ... oh no... Yoko Ono. Here in North America, WW1 and WW2 messed up a lot of families, losing contact, changing names as acceptance, you know what I mean. It's nice to be ancestral for me as having ancestors that didn't go through the Dark Ages, no allergies or diabetes, over 20-50 vision, I could go on. Hadrians' Wall helped to further isolate us. Look at my name, John, named after John the Baptist. In English a john is a man looking for a prostitute or another word for toilet. When I say spirit it's another word for electricity, seeing the electrical energy of my brain as my eternal being, but the English say spirits as alcohol. In Gaelic watt is wet and water is watter, and there are no McWatt or MacWatt from us. I wore tartan today, shopping around, and it always starts a conversation, many former Nova Scotians and Cape Bretonners around here. I hope you're having a very nice day.

@ohheyemmi Thinking about Monty Python now, it's difficult trying to describe what was so funny about them, and trying to imitate their skits and attitude. The politicians acting as mice in a country manor, the Norwegian blue, the pet shop with people hiding turtle shell clothing, the flying sheep, wow, remembering all that more over fifty years later. That wasn't the American comedy we were getting, insult comedians like Don Rickles and Phyllis Diller, hippy-dippy comedians and acid-rock bands, what made them precedent setting was the amount of profanity they used and how much speed they were on. That's when "bleeping out" was hot. Oh no, I'm becoming a downer here, and it's early in the morning. I'll end with a Jackie Coogan line, "Does a wet bird fly at night?"
