The Wall Street stock market was an intellectual concept that should never have been legislated into reality.

@deanking6405 : The stock market was invented as a way to circumvent banking laws and and their legal restrictions. Money never disappeared from bank vaults unless it was stolen. "Futures" was never an investment. During the Great Depression, when that was hand-written accounting on paper, there were always newspaper stories and movie news talking about Wall Street bankers jumping from their office buildings, committing suicide, after their clients money "disappeared" because of bad investments. You could see that in childrens' cartoons up into the 1950s. In reality, not one Wall Street banker committed suicide. Now, with online computers, there is that wonderful new land of off-shore where your money and bankers can disappear for evermore.
