I might be old school, but why isn't the federal government converting aircraft to be water bombers? Bailed out airlines could each donate a couple of parked planes.

@ricktd6891 If you don't believe in global warming you should come to the Niagara Peninsula, you know, those cold Canadian winters. The Great Lakes don't freeze over any more, and this moderates our winter temperatures. For the last ten years the average temperature is warmer than Florida. Birds stopped flying south over thirty years ago. I ride my bicycle in the winter and I'm not wearing winter clothes. See for yourself.

@jackjohnson6230 I don't know why you say that. It's changing all the time for me. Right now, 2022-12-30, here in the Niagara Peninsula, a Canadian winter, it's 11 degrees Centigrade. There isn't any snow on the roads or sidewalks. I was outside from four until nine without a jacket on, or gloves and scarf. Even though the leaves fall off the trees, it's okay because it's easier to see the birds that don't fly south any more.
