It was an amazing sight, seeing blue skies overhead with a never-ending wall of low clouds going south on Lake Erie, heading towards Buffalo, and it was a truly traditional winter tradition to see Channel Seven reporting on South Buffalo residents complaining about no snow plows on their street. Too bad Irv Weinstein and Commander Tom aren't here to be standing out there in it, waving at us.

  3. Global warming isn't just about higher temperatures. Maybe you need to learn about it. Here in the Niagara Peninsula, this winter storm is coming up from the United States. Last winter, we had three major storms, two from the States and one from Siberia. Lake Erie and Ontario don't freeze over, moderating temperatures, not like winter.
