The bare minimum for trying to contain the virus is wearing a mask in public, social distancing, and disinfecting hands when entering a building. Clear plastic shields between people working cash registers, bus drivers, bank tellers, etc, is also part of good prevention. That never happened in America, and those resisting mask wearing will keep it going.
