Saying Christopher Columbus discovered America has been proven to be wrong. He was never there. In my home town, being a Scottish mayoral candidate, I was surprised to be invited to an event at the local Knights of Columbus hall. The elder men in a back room asked me to explain what I was saying at mayoral debates, about Canadian and American history. I said I won't give you any attitude or lies, I'll just tell you what I know and where I found out. That went well, no anger or insults. In four months the Columbus statue, a big metal one outside, was gone, and a bust of a local founder was there. If you're interested in natives, and different kinds of humans, keep looking. We're out there. What would you think of Spanish conquistadors, and all the other empire building countries, with guns and cannons, who came to the "new world" only to find natives who talked about Jesus of Nazareth, the only other pale-skinned man they knew, calling Him the great healer, the great educator, and savior.. The first thing Israel did was attack Egypt. Israel is an undeclared state of the United States, and is a portal for the C.I.A. and other military to the Middle East. The first Bush attacked Iraq. The second Bush attacked Iraq. Americans attacked Afghanistan, Iran and Lebanon. I see all of Israels' actions as war crimes and crimes against humanity. You could call them murder and mass murder, if you want. It's genocide.

@jakegelender2970 You've got a big and logical rationale, too bad you're wrong. As history has proven, the victors' history gets promoted more than the losers. War is war, in the streets or atom bombs from the air. What if Palestine sent peace-keepers to quell the violence of the insurrection at the Capitol? Would Washington have allowed foreign soldiers on their homeland soil? America is the evil empire. If you understand that everything else makes more sense.

What? Didn't you get your free money? Didn't you get free food? I saw lineups on four-lane highways in Texas, over five miles long, waiting for free food, and those were luxury vehicles. President Biden just wiped out what, over a billion in student debt? As an American you're supposed to be happy American military attacks are happening in other countries, not on home soil. The priests of Moses complained, saying the spirit of God was leaving the tent where they kept the Ark of the Covenant. They were correct. By the time Solomon, very unrighteous, passed away, there was no Israel. All that is left is now called "The Wailing Wall". That's for many good reasons. 9/11 was created by the Bush family and associates, as a way to anger Americans so they could justify attacking Iraq for their wealth and oil. They assassinated a president to take it over. I doubt that leads to compassion for foreigners, and people who aren't white-skinned.

@ArleeStarr You have to admit the first comment is someone just saying the opposite of what they mean. That might pass for humor in the United States, but it's not sarcasm. You can't go from there to becoming facetious, and I like that better. What you're talking about happens because we're not seeing the face or hearing the voice of the sarcastic person, seeing sarcasm as difficult to discern as just font.

One of the first English dictionaries, from the people who helped create the prophesied global language, like the first encyclopedia and the Holy Bible in English, came from Scotland. Americans say Webster but that's not the same Webster. Here's the Canadian dictionary definition: "The use of bitter or wounding, esp. ironic, remarks, language consisting of such remarks". Stopping insane news reports from Israel and Pakistan, all American brain-washing, is a nice way to get rid of reports about babies having their heads cut off. Americans broke their peace treaty with Russia by bringing in more soldiers and weapons into the Ukraine and surrounding countries. Americans destroyed Russian infrastructure and forced countries to buy American at a greater cost, having to cover their military attacks. Is this the news you see?

I'll say something. You're wrong. If you're American you live in an ultra-violent, pornographic and profane country, not to mention public racism. The way some American women dress, I wouldn't want to be seen with them. With so many foreign invaders, it's best to keep women modest. And what if this woman didn't want to speak? She's not there for your expectations. When Americans vacated Afghanistan, one of the first things the Taliban government did was order their soldiers to round up all the homeless drug addicts the Americans left behind and put them into rehab. That should be happening in America.

As far as problematic histories, the Dark Ages, created by the filth of Rome, were the first diseases for mankind. The last people on earth to have diseases were Hawaiians. My ancestors, Scots, lived on a top of a northern island where the beaches didn't freeze in the winter, a northern salmon fishing ground going back to the Garden of Eden. Scotland never attacked another country in war and Scotland never had any form of slavery. Hadrians' Wall further isolated us, no allergies or diabetes in my clan system. There are countries that don't have armies and the few police don't carry weapons. There are cities in Canada where people don't have locks on doors. University is free for Scots citizens. You use steam power, electricity and horsepower, invented by Scots. Past President James T. Buchanan was part of my mothers' clan system. He didn't start the Civil War. The next president did, and he's got a memorial that's a copy of a Roman Empire temple for a god. It's a question of perspective. Thanks for inspiring me, this early in the day.

@georgemetesky5519 What's with protecting Israeli citizens? Every Israeli has to go through army training when they are young, learning to kill other humans. America lost the military draft after Viet Nam, seen as being a war for profit. Having to do time in the military in Israel is worse.
