That's like saying online pornography is the same as making love with an off-line lover. American tax-payers paid to create the world wide web but they don't get any financial benefits, still paying as end users.

  2. Just Ocho: As someone who's been watching this since April, I totally agree. It stinks to high heaven. My Scottish grandmother would say "Living your life properly is the best revenge". We can all do that.

  3. T.BONE/SIDE OF LIFE: This is a very serious, very emotional statement. I can only agree. However, don't take so much upon yourself and your fellow Americans. The American Empire didn't crumble, it became an online resource for global corporations. You have to see the trend for being online with everything and staying inside and ordering take-out and delivery. You don't have to do that.

In the sixties, the Canadian professor Marshall McCluhan published "The Media is The Message", proving the weight of visual input and it's style is more important than the content. You say FOX feeds ridiculous lies, but FOX has been declared a terrorist organization in some countries. Do not despair. What I'm seeing now does offer some hope of a Democrat victory. Do I think Mitch McConnell won a fair election? Not at all.
