@stevenlindsey2056 my apologies. I thought they were issued. My points are moot then. This is a stupid decision

Our military is non secular. You wouldn't like it if someone started putting Koran verses on dog tags

@caseyclark5392 the country was not founded on God and the Bible, FACT. The founding fathers literally wanted the opposite that Europe had hence the separation of church and state.

@Jonathan Gullett pretty sure our bombing their countries for twenty years inspired Isis. Hence why they hate us so much

@bonnielavalle8566 if Biden was autocraticwhy does he need to debate to pass bills? Why is his build back better agenda on life support?
5
@SwornReaper that was the declaration of independence. Our laws are governed by the constitution where in the very first amendment it says our government is separate from the church
4
@73beetle19 the difference is one is a representation of our non secular military. The other is a personal choice. Anything attributed to our military should not have any religious content.
3
@Jonathan Gullett no, we just funded their enemies in Iran for decades and conducted near annual regime changes there. We have had our hands in the middle east for almost 100 years now. Could you imagine If the roles were reversed?
3
@stevenlindsey2056 I agree.
2
@caseyclark5392 why do you need them if you don't follow them. Great example is the border. What would Jesus do with these people running from war?
2
@Mccaid what, the Bible? Our military is NON secular. This man could always just keep a written scripture in their pocket

@brocklindseth7278 thank you

@SwornReaper both Jefferson and Madison were very clear that you couldn't have true religious freedom if there wasn't a separation. The point I am trying to make is yes they were both religious men, but they didn't want to build the country that way.
1
@SwornReaper and in the constitution it specifically states the separation. This conversation is going in circles. The declaration of independence was just and only that, a declaration of independence from outside rule, announcing the creation of a new country.

@brandonharvey6455 not Christians, evangelicals.
1
@rickklein7792 I'm not religious at all. Just proving my point about Jesus that's all. Pretty bad when I know the Bible better than some believers hey?

@DJ-769 God expects His people to help those who are homeless. The Law directly addressed care for those in need. In Leviticus 25:35 God commands His people to help support those who have no home and cannot support themselves: “If any of your fellow Israelites become poor and are unable to support themselves among you, help them as you would a foreigner and stranger, so they can continue to live among you” (see also Deuteronomy 15:7–11). The Lord rebuked those who kept the outward form of religion yet did not care for the poor: “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: . . . to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?” (Isaiah 58:6–7).

@anthonys239 have you seen the way God fearing people act?
1
@SwornReaper no he would not. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard someone religous say.
1
@arancar101 sure, now they do. After decades of us keeping them third world countries
1
@arancar101 that's just dumb
1
@arancar101 there are many humanitarian groups in the middle east. With their hands intact
1
@arancar101 another dumb comment
1
@southtexas7103 how did that civil war work out for ya?
1
@chachacha2023 in my opinion evangelicals are not Christian. They do not support the teachings in the Bible in any way and support for a man who breaks commandments almost daily.
1
@73beetle19 how about in your pocket instead?
1
@JP-nq7wf ugh, it was founded without God specifically to uphold religious freedom.
