The thing stopping people having families is not child care costs. It is the cost of housing, which is caused by hyper immigration.

If you are prepared to leap over the glaring 1.01 Economics of Supply and Demand, it is clearly a shibboleth with you that Immigration is an unadulterated good. Easy to hold that position as long as they aren't rioting in your street over a Pakistan vs India cricket match. As long as it isn't your child's teacher that has had to go into hiding. As long as nobody is blockading and terrifying the manager of your cinema over a Sunni Shia dispute.

Charging men and not charging women? Isn't that sexist? No great demand from Feminists to stop pushing the cost of their activities onto men. It only ever goes in one direction. It is Feminism, not Equality. It is improving things for women often at the expense of men and equality.

The Conservative Party has betrayed conservatism and the British people on so many things. To talk about reducing & controlling immigration while pursuing everyone is welcome (legal or illegal) policies, is to insult the electorate. To invite both sides of a waring factions: Pakistani Muslims & Indian Hindus. Turks & Greeks. Jews & Muslims. To have no concern if that people generally has grown up with an anti British grievance indoctrination (Jamaicans, Indians/Pakistanis). I'm not sure I can find a word to sufficiently label how self harming & stupid that is. There are alternatives. While Malaysian's are mostly Muslim, they don't resent Britain, but are if anything grateful to Britain for developing their country.

@rogerwoodhouse7945 Erm, no. Supply and Demand. The house supply is barely increasing and the demand is increasing exponentially. Some undesirable places to live might have falling house values but by definition, you nor anyone indigenous would want to live there.

@bigbarry8343 Please provide your source on the % of 2nd homes that are left empty. While that is no doubt a problem in Cornish fishing villages, I suspect it isn't a normal thing. Greater than 500K legal immigrants this year. What was the net increase to housing? I would be shocked if it was above 200K. Supply and demand. Other factors may be true while remaining entirely irrelevant.

@rogerwoodhouse7945 A large employer closing down. I rise in crime (probably caused by immigrants). Instigation of traffic policy making the property far my difficult to get to or from say a railway station. I think we are done.

@Sue-rh4qj We were at replacement levels until Hyper Immigration. It isn't that people don't want kids, it is that they can't afford kids. The prime reason they can't afford kids is housing costs, which is entirely down to hyper immigration. Even if what you were saying is true, I would rather follow the Japanese model. Japan is still Japan. I am not sure what England is now but it isn't the England I was born into.

@Sue-rh4qj Also we are not bringing in super skilled immigrants at a replacement level, balanced for gender. We are bringing in vast numbers of unskilled males, with no women. Please don't suggest there is anything rational about our immigration policy. We do not discriminate for countries who's people hate us. We do not discriminate between two sectarian factions. We let both parties of a waring factions in and believe that by magic they are not going to continue their grievance with us and or each other when they get here.

@Sue-rh4qj Perhaps responding to my initial comment. What have we done to encourage the indigenous population of our isles to have children? Nothing what so ever. We have through hyper immigration both crushed wages, and vastly inflated housing costs. That seems to be what you would do if you wanted to demoralise our nations population into feeling that they can not afford children. Our nation passed its carrying capacity before WW1. Hyper Immigration does not seem compatible with insane Net Zero aims. Talk of a date with destiny for Norther Island with regard demographics is common place. We seem to have our own date with destiny. When did the people of this island vote to become majority Muslim? All majority Muslim countries become increasingly governed by Sharia Law in direct correlation with the percentage of the Muslim population. When did the people of this isle say that was the direction we wished to go in? Buddhist Afghanistan, Christian Egypt and Turkey, Zoroastrian Persia are all now near as damn it 100% Muslim. There is clearly a tipping point. I hope we have not passed it.

Peace concrete bollards in front of the Houses of Parliament. Crushing of working class wages. House prices through the roof. Not enough roads, reservoirs, power stations, hospitals or schools. If Northern Ireland has a demographic date with destiny, so do we. We will become a majority Muslim nation with a successful referendum to implement Sharia Law.
