  1. The Suffragettes were terrorists who did nothing to secure votes for women. It is very sad that they are looked on laudably now. Suffragettes did not want votes for women. They wanted votes for the same class of women as the same class of men who had the vote. It was only that voting rights had to be looked at after the carnage of WW1 that men without property got the right to vote and women alongside them.
