Mmmm, yes, when I feared for my life with the 1st Cavalry Division in Baghdad in '05, I too dismounted, racked a round into my service weapon, then ran up in front of a vehicle that could have just gassed it and pasted me with impunity just so I could zip someone point blank with controlled pairs. Because... ya know...fear for my life and all that.
