  2. Only the snow that falls in the mountains matter. The runoff slowly feeds rivers which go to reservoirs used for our water supply. We have other reservoirs but they are small, few and far between. Environmentalists have not allowed news ones to be built and they are bent on removing some we already have. Plus they shut down our main water supply to the southern part of the State years ago ( San Joaquin Delta) during a severe drought no less (they don't care about people) Our problem isn't lack of rain, it is environmentalists shutting down viable water supplies and gross mismanagement of our water system. All this rain will fully replenish this State but we don't have much storage like we had in the past and rain like this comes around once every 4 years or so. Basically, we'll run out of water again before it can be replenished. The good news is Environmentalists get to continue to raise our water rates and force conservation upon us forever and ever. They like their power.
