@annonymous6827 so you prefer to accept whatever crumbs management decides is enough for your labor. You don't support labor using the only leverage they have over the capitalist who buy their labor from them which is to withhold that labor for better terms.

@annonymous6827 First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. —Martin Niemöller History has a lesson for where your line of reasoning ends.
17
@annonymous6827 so you are both the owner and the employee at the same time? Must be a very small company
12
@annonymous6827 there are non so blind as those who refuse to see
11
Yup I was thinking it would be a great question to ask him how he would have liked being a railroad worker and not getting that leave.
9
@annonymous6827 again you prove you are among those who refuse to see.
8
@annonymous6827 nope I said you failed to learn from history and thus you are doomed to repeat it.
7
@agentzerored5255 nice to see someone else understands the need for unity. I was beginning to think only the wealthy understood that as they have the class unity the working class needs.
7
@annonymous6827 🤣🤣🤣 so you are saying you failed to learn your middle school lessons I am not shocked except that you admit it in public
7
This is class warfare and my class is winning - railroad owner Warren Buffett
7
Nope Warren Buffett needs to protect his 40% profit margin more than the health and safety of his workers
4
@Construimus_Batuimus there are non so blind as those who refuse to see. But feel free to check with Ryan Grimm on the breaking points video from today you will see you just accused him of gaslighting
2
That is what you get when politicians make a point of telling you they are capitalist to the bone.
2
@SensoriaMaRia apparently president Obama didn't either as he made an exception to his executive order so that railroad workers wouldn't get paid sick leave like other government contractors.
2
@Joekuh Ryan Grimm is the one who made the point that the railroad workers would have been covered because the railroads are government contractors. Except for the exception. It is on the breaking point channel today. I am willing to accept that Ryan Grimm knows what he is talking about
2
@Construimus_Batuimus lol I love how the any blue will do crowd always thinks the leverage is to the other side and we can never demand better of our leadership. You are TFG
2
The ones winning are the owners like Warren Buffett. The railroad companies are making 40% profit margins of the backs of the workers who don't even get paid sick leave. Warren Buffett who is one of the owners of the railroads has said it best in the past. This is class warfare and my class is winning- Warren Buffett

Look up the The Railway Labor Act, enacted in 1926,
2
@MarquisVegan I am pretty sure it was in the headlines on democracy now that Ted Cruz voted with Bernie and give him a fits bump. I remember because it was such pure political theater there was some other Republican who voted with them. I assume they are planing a 2024 run for president and want to use that vote as being pro working class when they knew it wouldn't pass. Much like how they voted down the ACA a million times under Obama but never tried to repeal it when trump became president. It was political theater at the worse.
2
Ted Cruz voted with Bernie and gave him a fist bump. Lol

The airline workers tried that under Reagan he fired 11,000 of them and band them from every working for a government contractor for life. You might want to study The Railway Labor Act, enacted in 1926. Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it.
1
@grandpafalkenrath2988 don't shut up call your senator and demand they correct the problem. Contact the Whitehouse and let Biden know he needs to remove the exception excluding railroad workers from the paid sick time that Obama gave all other government contractors. But please understand why the railroad workers need all of us to stand with them in this fight. The wealthy have used divide and concur to split labor and make it impossible for these workers to withhold their labor for better terms. That means the rest of us in the working class need to stand beside them in this fight.
1
@grandpafalkenrath2988 and how did that work for the airline workers when they did so during the Reagan administration? He fired over 11,000 of them and band them from ever holding a job with a government contractor for life. So sure if you want to be fired and walk away from your career and pension go for it doesn't show up at work.
1
@MarquisVegan I am hoping for someone younger myself. But it looks like the Democratic party will force Biden on us. I would love to see Katie Porter and Ro Khanna on the same ticket his foreign policy is good and she is amazing. He would be a good VP to her.

Breaking news Tapper is now leaving CNN to start his own independent YouTube channel. /s

@lawrencemckeon6802 I was just going to say fighting Amtrak Joe...

This is class warfare and my class is winning- railroad owner Warren Buffett

This was never actually about sick time with Congress. It is about shutting down the growing labor movement in the USA. This was the capitalist class telling the working class who has their backs. It is time for all members of the working class to stand together and tell the wealthy they might own the capital assets but capital without labor is a statue. Also tell Congress that politicians without voters are ex politicians in the coming election cycle. If all the unions stand together and push rank choice voting referendums in all states that have ballot referendums and run union backed candidates in all primaries these politicans will quickly learn that in a democracy labor not the wealthy elites have the votes to determine election results.
1
@annonymous6827 wow you had an amazing middle school text book if that quote from WWII was in it. You really suck at strawman argument
1
Lol the CEO's of those companies will call up asking for advice on how to cut sick leave and other benefits from their employees to get the same 40% profit margin. The capitalist class unlike the working class believes in class unity.
1
Reagan fired over 11,000 airline workers stripping them of their retirement pension and band them for life from working for any government contractors because they refused to return to work under The Railway Labor Act, enacted in 1926,
1
@p_e_t_e yes Obama literally carved out an exemption for these barrons of industry in his executive order that gave paid sick leave to all other government contractors.
1
@Joekuh Obama choose to make an exemption from his executive order that gave paid sick leave to all other government contractors. Both parties in the duopoly are neck deep in this one. This is class warfare and my class is winning- railroad owner Warren Buffett
1
@Construimus_Batuimus if Democratic leadership wanted the workers to get paid sick leave it would have been in the bill and would have required the Republican party come up with 60 votes to remove it from the legislation. Nancy Pelosi put it in two separate bills to force this very outcome in favor of her corpate donors. She is showing how she is a master politician. If Obama wanted the railroad workers to have paid sick leave he would have included them with all other government contractors in his executive order. This was by design ot protect the railroad barrons. As Warren Buffett said this is class warfare and his class is winning. A very fitting quote as he is a railroad owner.
1
Maybe he is worried CNN will realize they can cut his benefits to make more profit.
1
@Construimus_Batuimus you seem to have missed the fact that both Obama and Biden could have fixed this by correcting the executive order Obama wrote that excluded the railroad workers form getting paid sick time with all other government contractors
1

The government tried that mid summer when Biden declared the strike averted...
1
Breaking points did that it is something like $600 million for paid sick leave and 20 billion in profits at a 40% margin for the railroad industry. This is class warfare and must class is winning- railroad owner Warren Buffett
1
Yup that is called a blue flu in honor of the Boston police force. But I believe now it is considered an illegal strike under the law.
1
@Construimus_Batuimus you have to ask yourself why a handful of the wealthiest investors like Warren Buffett who owns a railroad would allow that to happen over a few paid sick days when his railroad is already making 40% profit off the workers. I mean as the world's best inventor he has to know he is better off to pay the sick time than crash his asset value with the economy.
1
Do you also have to plan your vacation time weeks in advance like the railroad workers? Just wondering because I would choose to not plan to be sick in a few weeks that seems like a miserable waiting period.
1
And so goes the race to the bottom.
