You can't steal what is freely given. China didn't steal our manufacturing jobs or technology multinational corporations choose to invest in manufacturing facilities in China to maximize profits. Globalization has been a choice of caplistist society to maximize the profits for the barons of industry.

Yup if videos games where the cause other nations like Japan would have higher rates of mass murder. It turns out the only direct link to mass murder by country is access to the weapons of mass murder not access to video games. Who could have know it was that simple.

What pulled the trigger is irrelevant the fact that there is a semiautomatic weapon with a trigger to pull is the problem.

@BoydGilbreath actually as a controls engineer who dealt with this issue at several different companies it is worst then shipping manufacturing equipment and thinking they wouldn't understand it. We actually flew engineers over to China to teach them how to run that equipment and the theory of operation. I have seen both companies who refused to listen to engineers and complained later about how the factory in China was taking their market. I have also worked at other companies which actually listened when we told them this would give away trade secrets. But most companies don't listen because the upper management is only there for 5 years and in the short run it is profitable to give away your business.

Respect/Walk wow what a incredibly insightful response.

@evolvedape3341 you seem to have a problem accepting facts. I only speak from first hand experience.

@evolvedape3341 I worked in engineering departments dealing with the management which signed the agreements and reviewed some of the contracts. Have you ever read a production line sale agreement?
2
@evolvedape3341 I was the engineer telling the manager not to give away our trade secrets but I guess you didn't read that part. But like I said you can't steal what was given freely. We gave them the technology in some cases they paid for it like the solar panel manufacturer equipment. But in most cases the multinational corporations wanted the cheaper labor and environmental regulations so they willingly gave away the technology to get cheaper outsourcing.

@jungoogie all governments provide subsidies. We subsidize the fracking industry here under the Bush administration to the point that it boomed under Obama as apposed to the solar industry. I interviewed at a couple of companies which where designing solar panel assembly lines and they explained that the problem in the USA was that we choose to subsidize oil not renewable energy so their most profitable option was selling the technology to China where the government was pushing it forward. But that doesn't change the fact that the companies choose to do business with China. If you don't think the USA has used subsidized to farmers and trade deals to push out agro business products on other nations you don't understand how international trade works.

@jungoogie you missed my point trump started a trade war to try and get China to stop doing what we ourselves do. You don't have moral high ground when you do the same thing. But to the orginal point China didn't steal the technology corporation gave the technology willingly in the quest for more profits. That was my orginal statement and having lived it first hand as an engineer who developed some of those trade secrets I can tell you the enemy wasn't China on transfer of technology it was upper management in multinational corporations which have no national loyalty only desire for the best profits. Technology transfer is just part of globalization which is a requirement of caplistist. The only way to keep driving down prices and maximize profits for the stock holders is to transfer technology to cheaper labor markets with lower regulations. Don't blame China for the choices of upper management that is my point. The governments giving subsidies is just what governments do.

@rexgressett1153 wow I wonder if you have ever actually been to China? Or do you get all your information from fox. I spent over a year there as an engineer working for a company which sold them production lines because being good caplistist we sold the technology to the highest bidder. No theft was required. I also worked at other companies which where more then willing to give them the trade secrets because it made for more profits. My comment has nothing to do with aligning myself with the government of China simply pointing out how globalization works to ignorant people like you who clearly have not lived it first hand and eat up the propaganda.
