Biden has done a good thing. He needs to continue to bring our troops home from the rest of the middle east and invest those resources into become 100% renewable energy. Just think how much wind and solar we could have bought over the last 2 decades with a little over 2 trillion dollars we wasted in Afghanistan

@Ryan McDoogal we tries that for 2 decades the Afghan army would never he effective. We trained over 300,000 people for that army and left them 80 billion dollars of American taxpayers military hardware. When will you accept you can't win a civial war in a foreign country?

@Ryan McDoogal he has it in movements like Sunrise movement and BLM. What we need is leadership which is willing to rise up to the challenges of our times. This withdrawal from Afghanistan is a good first step but there are many more steps before we reach the end goal of a planet which continues to support human life and ending the 6th mass extinction event we have started

@Ryan McDoogal your false concern for the dead Americans is shown by your lack of concern for all the fallen soldiers in the 2 decades of war that came before the withdrawal. Your alternative would be to keep American soldiers dieing in the forever war. Don't disrespect the fallen by trying to force the failures of the generals who ran the operation onto the commander in chief who told them to get the troops out of harms way. The failure was on the military leadership who where responsible for carrying out the withdrawal. The deaths are on their hands not the commander and chief who ordered them to being our troops home.

@Ryan McDoogal oh and spare me your holier than thou military service rhetoric. I have too many good friends who the military broke in the forever war both physically and mentally to buy that patriotic propaganda. The vast majority of people join the military because they can't afford their college education and can't find a job to support themselves in our society. They would be far happier to sign up for a civilian works program that is focused on things here in the USA. But we don't have such a program. The military is the last option for desperate people the vast majority of time. They get used broken and tossed aside for those of us who didn't join up to try and help rebuild their lives when the military no longer finds them useful. I have been down this road too many times with good friends to listen to your horror those who serve the country BS.

@MaxMisterC even if I take your 25% at face value that still leaves 225,000 "real US trained soldiers" there in the Afghan army. And 80 billion dollars of taxpayer military hardware. How many troops do you think we need to train in Afghanistan? How much military hardware should we give them?
