I've lived through "Trade Union(s) representing the democratic consent of the workers within it, and the ability to use industrial action to enact that will.." At the moment I'm hearing loud echoes of '70 to '78 in the UK. It was not pleasant and bore NO FCUKING RESEMBLANCE to your shite. My Mum had to crack on to bailiffs that my Dad had deserted us; beg from the neighbours; lie to shopkeepers and worse in the 47-day strike in 1971 where the postie TU leader, Tom Jackson, swanned about in a Roller and they went back to work for a HALFPENNY. Things only got worse until the sainted Margaret was elected and broke the backs of the unions generally and totally destroyed the NUM. Go look into Arthur Scargill, what a piece of work he was. Please, just fcuk off and die, you've either not a bloody clue, are seriously loony, or are some raving tankie subversive. You could be all those; I've met plenty of them.

Balanced this faux "rant" isn't; he has quite a bit more than his thumb firmly on the scales. But then this is usually the case for ALL SIDES in this continuation of The American Civil War by other means. Generally whichever view you are punting the facts YOU present in YOUR favour are likely to be true; but it is what YOU leave out that is the problem. Thar's a whole lot of motte and bailey going on... on all sides.

@RichardPhillips1066 Critical thinking and a critical skepticism should be everyone's default. That it isn't and you'd all rather be NPC's or turn over and go back to sleep is what is truly disturbing.
