Part 1: On the research that is supposed to reveal that Remainers are more cognitively capable than Brexiteers, First off, of course, this data analysis is funded by and probably for the cognitive class, i.e. as the host says it might be subject to various cognitive biases: first is the choice/judgement/decision to do such a survey from all possible surveys ie the data facts are subject to a priori intuition e.g. in C.S. Peirce on hypothesis and abduction, Husserl on the human/subjective/standpoint condition of the sciences "Crisis of European Sciences", and the many critiques from social sciences on how liberal positive data is already under bias. The prior intuition means the categorical framework already compares two groups intuited as different and defined as such conceptually before the data collection. We could say the very research aim here is really to de legitimise Brexit voters in terms of a certain understanding of intelligent and reasoned belief and action. That is the class difference bias, that both presupposes and finds the higher class or middle class to be more intelligent w.r.t to cognitive capacities. This would be then an odd kind of empirical "discovery" since the criteria of cognitive difference is already a mark of the difference between the classes, secondly it is members of this class alone that a priori define this frame and they of course are members of the cognitive middle class: for example, no one would do a survey to see if the rich people have more money, but also the middle class are not going o do a survey with criteria that make a frame that would show them as deficient or excessive. So the middle class already work i guess in offices with computers and talk in jobs that deal with people on mass like law and social sciences. people not middle class, what the middle class used to call the lower class, their lives and work tend to involve more direct immediate relations of people practically as opposed to the cognitive middle class who although work with people in offices and via e mail's, their dealings with people is though institutions mediated by mass data. the tow live in different kinds of worlds with respect to human relations. We think, after the middle class have told us that it is legitimate to divide people this way wherein cognitive capacity is privileged as a higher faculty than practical activity, and so justifies that class as privileged and then able to justify post fact of difference that privilege with data that presupposes that privileging. this bias has a long history going back to Plato and Aristotle and continued and continuous through the scientific and legal enlightenment revolution. Indeed explicitly in Hegel's beurocratic romanticism is the view that these cognitive capacities are higher and more progressed aspects of human life, such that from Hegel both the left and the right can demand the lower classes progress up to reason via regulative structures of equality and efficiency capabilities. Always, and even necessarily, then, the universal and general is privileged over the particular. That is a logical, ontological and metaphysical difference privileging certain kinds of reasoning and discourse. Thus class difference is already a difference of logics ontologies and metaphysics that privileges a certain view of concepts and logical inferences: that is we say now post Kant post Frege the difference in one of function and data variable or Universality existential quantifiers. The view from the factory mangers office or the government house or the university podium. But now the lower class is a aggregate of single data facts in each function, but a substantial person does not appear here is not represented or presented only a plasma of single function facts. In this model the research finding is meant to be the empirical discovery of one to one association of data pairs. I believe Robert Brandon claims that action can be represented at this representational level, whereas others would claim this not to be the case eg in Aristotle life of theoria and teche and and abilities of theoretical and practical reason do not make the modern view that being is expressible as representation and so the distinction even though a privileging is not he same kind of difference we find in Aristotle. This is a difference between kinds of life, not a difference between representations and the representors. Of course in this distinction the represented as such do not exist cognitively, they subsist only as data perhaps with indexes attached to a name but not a person as such. What was the aristocratic distinction between kinds of life has becomes a distinction between represents and data representations not between representors and represented since the latter as a person cannot be represented. See Husserl on the contrast between a living human being as an organic organism and their scientific representations under functions. Thus McDowell can ask “are the senses silent” since their speech is first represented though and within general linguistic categories. That is speech of people is broken into bits appropriate for data in cognitive and discourse linguistics, which is given value in terms of efficiency and pragmatics where in already much of ordinary speech of people is excluded as too informal too parochial too index and adverb loaded and even then form this notions of say sexist and racist talk are excluded. The exclusions here though are from structuralism and post structural placements matrix, in privileging a middleclass language use and its categories and criteria, that really cannot deal with real contexts of use. So now like the old aristocracy langue has again become the marker for not just cognitive ability but as kind of moral ethical taste as judged by the elites. Indeed it was from within the context of languages that early 19th century German romanticism began in the universities and the aristocracy were now sending their kids off to university to becomes the burocrats and middle class of the future German State to become.

Part 2:Conclusion is it even possible for the middleclass to do research on themselves that does not just reproduce their biases and so “prove” or “justify” a priori all class bias with data ie as if it was a discovery not just a affirmation of prior tautological pairings. One thing is certain this data representation requires a certain passivity of the “represented” . this because the data frame must have an axiomatic symmetrical structure for the data to be functionally apt. that is certain life’s of the lower class are unrepresentable due to axiomatic necessity’s for data. And so from this with knowledge of how the representational system works: ie has to work, lives can be lead with the specific purpose of distorting the data and even making is so that there are no symmetries and so no data. Blinding the representing class. That is reflections that what you are doing is being represented as many separated dots of data, but also all dots must be in a function with other dots from other people separated into data dots. With this reflection and self consciousness as being represented under many aggregated data dots with others, the represented as people can reflexively not just deliberately distort the data to their will and so the middleclass actions to their will, they can also make it that the data can be reconstructed from bellow so has to be non functionally apt and so un usable. This sort of activity bellow representation and the representors is an absolute elsewhere, a noumina and unknowable for representors but can so destroy their ability to represent us. And so the ability to use AI on us. I can mention as illustrations the Irvine Walsh story “The two philosophers” in his “The Acid House collection, and the scene near the end of “The Life of Brian” with the two jailers. Just a point the middleclass do step out of their general representational data vocabulary and refer to real events but this is now a different mode of speech and representation, which draws in a natural attitude at odds with the role of representation. They do refer to real people in this mode which is real ad hominon and use of indexical forbidden in representational mode. They operate two logically and semantically conflicting roles here and mix them up so the determination of what natural people to report form is over determined by their cognitive representational biases of differences and their aims. Its like the hand of God coming down on us a kind of miracle or curse incongruent with the logic of representaion. We know this in our intuition because of how their natural use of real people and examples already coded and selected e.g. they can ignor difficult realities by a) choosing the concept eg instead of a racer marker they might just say “a man”. They used to justify this by saying the example the ad hominon chosen must reflect the data distribution but now its just an obvious political tool. All I am proposing is a hand reaching up with the cognitive reflection and practical skill and wisdom to make ourselves un representable and take back our Being from being represented.

  3. the middle class depiction of an already chosen person or case rides on the demands of the representation we are told by the left in their actions of choice, that they say correcting traditional cultural and cognitive and institutional biases and stereotypes from the past as repetitious, but this "correction" wrt to representational fairness can also be constructive of a political agenda but also our intuition and reason can see it in reality and in the biased representational structure. it is however a self reinforcing feed back loop or a Cybernetic system where the examples justify more biased representing which then justify more biased examples. The tricky bit is that we now have no criteria for perfection or equality or idealistic or the real as a structure from which to even talk of bias anymore. This because the standard and criteria for bias eg straight can only exist in the traditional legal scientific sense if we can just remain with equality of structure without loss of meaning at the level only of representation. There is an old British film from Hammer called "The revenge of Frankenstein" with Peter Cushing. He's a "doctor" for the poor. At one point he is asked why the poor don't wash and he says "they tell me the dirt keeps them warm". that reply the doctor is quoting was maybe a reference to the poor as superstitious as compared to the good doctor, it could have been a joke,, but maybe what they actually told the doctor, which is true by the way, that washing can cause them to get cold and ill. Only a man of pure Speculative Hegelian reason could equate or translate "If I wash, then I will get a cold" to "If i don't wash, then the dirt will keep warm". The movie is full of stuff on this theme but i picked the most obscure example.
