Hell of a stove. Everybody I see with them love them. They work great very efficient. Run you out of a tent. Just bring the chain saw to feed it. The grizzly is a start on a good camp place. It wouldn't take much to wrap it and make it water /snow proof. You could make an internal shelter fairly easy and quick. A trap under the feeder would keep you dry and tarp to wrap it. Fast work. Great light show,. It's that time of year. Getting late, snow in the mountains this week. Take care.

The iron skillet is a fish frying pan. Soak it in oil and heat it up, generally upside down for a couple hours. Been a good season. Now for some high altitude summer camping away from the bugs.
6
You need a six foot spud bar to pry loose those rocks. Much easier than a shovel. They have a three or so inch flat wide end and a tamp circke head on the other. Generally inch or more diameter bar. Heavy and strong. Good bid, good cooking on the cb hash. Catsup. Yeah some more flavors mixed in. Onion pepper etc. All good. When you cut those trees off try to turn the blade flat to the ground as low as you can and cut them off. You don't want to trip on them or have to shovel around them this winter. Made chop them off. You going to have to dig dredge the creek bed to get in their. Long time yet before rains or snow.
3
You may want to change that relay out. When under low voltage or extreme cold cranking the relays burn in on the contacts. You need a fuel pump and a starter relay. Not expensive so it's wise to change them and have a spare with you. Great when a plan comes together.

God vid, sure it is fun being back. The oven is like the radiators used around the world in the cold climates such as yours. Use a lot more of the heat just going up the pipe. Now you can put the potatoes on before you build the fire. Have them ready. Oiled and wrapped in aluminum foil. Opens up a whole new cooking world for you. Stuffed peppers things like that. Livin' like a king. Take care be safe. Glad you turned it around. That's the way I thought it should be when I first saw it. Can't lay with fire in the middle of nowhere.
3
Go ahead and put the plywood on. Get it in the dry. Might be too flat for shingles. Need at least a 3/1 pitch. Some metal or roll asphalt roofing.
2
Yeah, she's got it going on.
2
Fledging eagles a year or so old. Set the hook when you get a fish bite. Good vid. You can learn from her. Next time.
2
God vid. 150k, not long ago only 100k. Now you are coming to my side of NA. Wil be interesting to see your area of Labrador. I've traveled extensively in Newfoundland and will more in your area soon. By motorcycle. Thaw is good.
2
Good vid. All good
2
good vid good shot good food
2
That's a stove.
2
Tractor is the greatest wheelbarrow ever.
2
Good vid man. Many times with snow/wind event place about a foot of snow around the perimeter. It makes a snow seal. Keeps the wind from blowing under and snow out. It isn't going to melt anytime soon. Also when taking the tent down it just pulls within away from the snow.
2
Bet that fire felt good. Lighter frozen. good drone work. Put a can of biscuits on top next time, can do cooked beans the same. They will stay on top and brown. Not dumplings but pretty good.
2
Body at 98.6 puts off a lot of heat

Great to enjoy the last of winter. The flies are coming for certain. So enjoy and stock up heavy the next trip. From the hill's of East Kentucky, USA. Take care.
1
Beautiful dog. Nothing like them. Had many all my life. It will come back. Smart breed. Got a nose. Ptarmigan if the snow isn't too deep. Let it be a puppy, a puppy dog. I have a Mini Aussie shepard, goes everywhere and a new Great Pyrenees's puppy. Life has its' contrasts. Love camping.

Good vid
1
Duck hunting is not a fair weather sport as you have figured out. Tough but they taste so good.
1
You need a boat on both sides of that shallow creek next year. Just pull the motor off and put it in the other boat. Can't wait to see the Labrador vids. Been up there some off the Viking trail across from Newfoundland. Great colors soon. It's the place to go back in time with a simpler life style.
1
Good vid. The actions told the story. Good place to call home. When it all melts there's that special buzz in the air. Then it's garlic time.
1
Need to bring the battery in and keep it warm. Get a lithium Ion one. 220 bucks but worth it. Use a trickle charger inside. Deltan Battery Tender or an Optimus(best) They make all weather/waterproof models. Not that expensive. Beats the heck out of plan C, walk.
1
fun vid short is ok thru week still interesting watch that stove rust it out thinning the metal some bricks on the sides would help protect the metal take care
1
It pays to know
1
Yeah boy handi wipes. Clean out a patch of dingle berries.
1
Good visit. I put out garlic to keep the vampires away. Mothballs do seem to work on bears
1
Good vid. Build an outhouse at home and transport in panels to the cabin on your boat. Same for a shed roofing such as that whatever you can do it would be interesting. Modular construction. Next time. Show some stuff around home. Show why you want to get away from it all. Next time

I wouldn't burn any 2 by more than 14 and a half inches. Always use that size and up for a header block. Anything less is fuel to burn. The long beam, is just that. Maybe pull it apart or gut it for a frame of something to build on or for like a center rafter/beam. Keep it straight and dry.
1
Take your broom and turn it sideways, perpendicular to the roof line and push the roof/snow up and around the stove pipe. Good vid. Man crazy cold weather coming. Fairbanks has been 50 below F almost a week straight. Just now getting to zero F. Grill makes a great hot plate. Those lifter handles are the same as we had on our cast iron cook stoves. You need a simple water proof Junior Battery Tender by Deltran, Amazon generally or local shops. Simple to install just plug it in to your power bank. Take all that other crap out. Then wire up some heated clothes if needed. But 1st get a damn battery. Seven or eight years old. It's gone. I use an Odyssey battery but the new lithium ones are the way to go. Smaller lighter stronger, use some foam to take up the space to secure one. About $220 USD. It's your life out there. If the stars align just right it could take you out. Confluence of factors. Land is special. You are in a place how it's been for many years without man's interference. Good vid man.
1
Never trust a bear. They are killers at a moments notice. Lightning fast. They love bear spray unless it gets in their eyes. Wear a shiny watch so they can find you in the scat piles. Good vid. Outhouse is looking good. Little more water in the creek between the lakes. The change is on. Be sledding before you know it
1
Good vid. I always share this to Facebook to try and grow the channel. Good to see another. The place and lights are beautiful. How about a brick pizza oven. You need a way tp plug the snowmachine into your power pack for the real cold nights. Sure there are several kinds of kits for that. Hope you carry a spot with you. Pretty desolate place. What now, 5 hrs maybe six of daylight? Be safe
1
It's fun hunting/ Stealth is the key. They see one thing different it's all over. Be early, couple hours before light get in place and wait. Paint face, camo the werks. Good vid. Beautiful place. Bears too. All good from east Kentucky USA. Interesting place. Build all those places hauling in with boat or barge?
1
@BigRiverLabrador I've motorcycled a lot all over North America. The Goose Bay area I haven't been. What is road rt 520 like up to Northwest River and double back then from Goose Bay to Labrador City I think rt.500
1
Good vid. Be ready for ice fishing this winter. Yeah the change is coming soon. Be here before we know it. Stay safe. Has the smoke cleared pretty much everywhere now?
1
Good vid, interesting how much water on the ice, concerning. Leave you a cast iron skillet/grill at each of your places.
1
Good vid. Good job on the carpentry
1
Turn the wheelbarrow workway, travelway before yoiuload it.

You never know til you try. One's that never try never know. Success comes from trying. every failure is a learning experience. I've been through it all. Success comes. Be diverse. There's a lot to do all the time. Don't get into a rut. Same ole stuff. Expand and film it all. 2 vids a week, some shorts. Get used to loneliness. Part of it. Best way to fight that is bring someone along occasionally. 199k and growing. Look at some of the simple vid fellows, 500k plus and very simple experiences. Personality plays a big part. travel is good too. Watch the promotions, they cut into the experience greatly. Do at fisrt after the intro to the vid. Paul Messner, others. Don't sell yourself, they own you and dictate what you show. TOGR is a good one. Luke controls his presentation. Others are sold out and you can't believe them. Matti and Stina, Norwegian Xplorer, Time to grow. The best, I'll gladly follow along.

Good vid happy holidays
1
Now plug in a battery charger to the sled. An Optimate or a Battery Tender would keep the charge up. Models come as waterproof units. Simple plug in and play. You need one.
1
Get a twin dipole connector to put on battery for plugging in charger. Most come with a plugin
1
Happy Holidays Jay, much fun

Careful lighting those over the bucket of slits, one spark, smoldering, poof. That stove is an absolute beast. Reminds me of those 16 Merlin engines all lite. You'll kill that starter relay doing that. Better carry an extra. Be smart, plug it in first. So hard on an engine to start it that cold. Oil is frozen around crank thicker than black strap molasses. It just won't work. Give it plenty warm up time after it starts. You need some serious tires. Some buckets of sand. Check out plow guys tires. Great vid man. You loosened up some.. Enjoy.

Hey Jay. Good vid. Get that machine ready before you get caught out and maybe suffer serious consequences. New tent coming. Good to hear that. All good from warm east Kentucky USA. Next time.
1
Good vid. Man that's some low water. Put maybe a little dam across the mouth of it to make a lock to get thru. Think about the old rotted plywood. One thing it's good for is covering the good wood with a flat surface. Add a plastic tarp and keep the good wood dry thru the winter. Shed the rain and snow. Then trash it. Be care on a low pressure day. The fire will follow the gas vapors many feet to the can. Yeah, it will surprise you. Time to fish some. Can't believe you burned that plywood..Northern lights are beautiful. You'll get a flat on the snowmobile with the nails. All good, interesting. Coming along. Nexttime

Marlin 45/70 model 1895 or a 12 ga. pump Remington 870 or Mossberg 590. Use slugs not buckshot or regular shot. Both offer hunting barrels for other game, birds, etc. Shotguns are half price of rifle. If a black bear wants you the spray won't stop it. I know, 2 friends. Wear a gold watch they show up better in bear scat. I'm serious. Seen it 1st hand. Practice, get reputable professional training and learn how to use and load under stress. Safety first. Know your target, know what's behind it. You own every round fired. I've been shooting for 65 years.
1
Make a roof for the split box with a pallet and a cover. Next time
1
Beats sitting in the newspaper office. All fun on the hunt. Thermos of hot coffee. Hand warmers. Dry clothes in a waterproof bag. Tarp. You need to get out about 4am in the morning and go out set up in a blind with some decoys. Call them in. That's how we do it. Slip in stealth, cover up body paint face they can see like crazy anything that looks different.
