@elvinong2499 Haha, he doesn't care. The govt owes him. Did he know that HK's house ownership is at 49.5% , South Korea at 59% and we are at 91.5%? He doesn't care I think

@siewwanang9248 I agree with you and when I look at those comments against these FWs, I feel ashamed and sad. Yes, heartless comments are everywhere. They do not care how much these FWs had/have contributed to Singapore's well being and comfort.Being ungrateful and unkind, they even try to short change the FWs' dignity. They were jealous that the government was providing meals to these workers when the pandemic hit the dormitories...blaming that the food were too good for this kind of people and as usual chanting that it's their tax payers' monies and are now blaming the government for giving free vaccinations to the FWs..."why waste our money on them? They should pay for their own vaccination." Some boldly claimed that at the end of the day, these FWs will go back to their homelands with " tons" of money and why should we accord them these kindness? Many of these commenters are unappreciative, small minded, xenophobes....and they demand non stop to the government and blaming becomes a norm for them. A lost race. Well, good times produce weak people. Probably eaten too many of the self- entertainment candies.

How about you trying? Any comment to my suggestion?

@dragonrox17 And 99 years lease is not enough for you? How are future generations going to have hones if all our houses are freeholds? We do not have vast lands
2
@weirdshit Your reasonings are out of order. Go and do some learning before debating. It's hurting to see such reasonings.
1
Do you really believe these stuffs? All generalisations are dangerous including this one.
1
@htahtoo8851 I thought your post was about PMETs doing grab? How this non - PMETs come in?
1
How about a 4 hour shift?

Look at the comments. We are a self entitled ungrateful tribe

Can you do those jobs? You can apply. Whining here is wasting your resources

@fifefafq Do you think the investors and MNCs will come here to invest if our Govt tie them with a whole load of conditions? These MNCs and investors are here for profits and not here to do social welfare. They have their own hiring system which one of things they look for is talents ( global or local). They have their ROI and goals too. If they come here, then there will be jobs. If they don't come here, there will be no jobs to quarrel about. Our own SMEs cannot provide enough jobs for our people. I guess a wise govt must decide. I agree that there should be fair hiring.
1
@weirdshit Are you sure the locals can do such jobs? R1 or even R2 jobs? Please elaborate.
1
Hong Kong The proportion of the population living in public rental housing and subsidised home ownership housing were 29.1% and 15.8% respectively. Probably it's wiser to rent. Waiting is too long. We are at 91%.
1
@weirdshit You are asked many questions for elaboration but you simply evade.
1
What is your definition of a reasonable salary? Say it out please

Good times produce weak spices. Probably eat too many self entitlement candies

@soreeyez Bro, maybe it's useful to note this. Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.
1
@soreeyez Thanks . Give them a break. You can disagree on certain polices which are your rights as citizens but I don't think its helpful to oppose for the sake of opposing. Frankly I find you very witty .
1
@soreeyez Thanks and have a great nite Appreciate the frank reply
1
@ibatawi I read your comments with amusement. Entertaining. Feel better after reading them. I think its a case of : If a comment is unintelligible, it has to be vague; and if neither unintelligible nor vague, it has to be unverifiable. .
1
Why don't you start by applying? Commenting here is not helpful. Take an application form and apply. We are in dire shortage of workers, especially in the construction, clearing rubbish and marine sector
1
They are precious because a construction must be resilient, hard working and have guts
1
Locals should do those jobs. Will you?
1
@dragonrox17 So what should we use to compare? Let me ask you a question. Is house ownership important for citizens?
1
We can always work Malaysia. Worry not
