Comments by "Rutvik" (@rutvikrs) on "Why is the BJP reluctant to act against Wrestling Federation Chief Brij Bhushan Singh Sharan?" video.
Aside from the bjp-opposition partisanship, this will remain an issue with Indian politics for the foreseeable future. Parties are creating localised leadership or pick up people who offer electoral predictably and social control for the cost of corruption, immunity to prosecution and access to power. If you eliminated Congress and BJP as parties, people like this would still find power.

That is just a bad line of attack.

Missed to include that every single party has this filth.

@pardeeptandon AAP is the youngest national party. People like him are valued because they are a tactical answer to anti-incumbency. Give it time and you will see AAP morphing into the thing they swore to fight. They have already reneged on anti-authoritarianism, anti-corruption, anti-communalism and anti-VIP stances.

@pardeeptandon In 2011, I convinced my parents to sell our ancestral property to seed fund IAC. Took a break from my role with a WHO affiliate risking my green card effort. In my 42 years of existence, it is the single worst thing I have ever done because I regret funding and consulting for the wrong people. I earned back all that I lost, but the time and effort will never come back. I can only hope, you get into one of those AAP corridors and witness what actually happens. BJP is doing all the fundamental reforms I had hoped AAP would. AAP is horrendous in its economic plans and it's running. It's the worst of DMK, Congress and regional parties combined.

@pardeeptandon as someone with a background in economics, I knew by 2010 that MMS was steering India the wrong way economically. That was one of the things I wasted my time on with these jokers. Delhi has always been revenue surplus state. See the historical chart from 2000s. The issue with Delhi's freebies are the damage they cause to discoms which are forced to degrade quality and Infrastructure. India cannot afford to pursue HDI. We don't have resource monopoly, trade route or business competitiveness to sustain it. Kejriwal's ersatz SoDem will lead us to long term economic ruin.

@pardeeptandon education is a value addition not the source of economic and social progress.

@Butunmallick7851 because there are different kinds of leaders?

@augustinealbertsouza9434 let me simplify. Yogi uses bulldozers on those who rent seek on crime. It isn't for every criminal.

@pardeeptandon you are stuck in the early 2000's development economics model with Kejriwal. Even by 2012, we had learned that education means nothing without trade volumes, networks and manufacturing base. It just means you are creating a new Elite every batch who migrate in self interest. Here are a couple of things you can observe without needing to read academic work: 1. The median graduate is unemployable for the domains they specialised in. This isn't the fault of the college or the culture. It is what happens when you oversize supply to create a human farm. 85% of the science, arts, engineering and business graduates we create are not inclined towards the field and pursue it for the sake of social status. Colleges are not the place you go to make yourself employable. It's just a demonstration of prolonged learning and ability to converse in technical language. 2. Even the talented suffer in this setup. If an engineer comes up with a low level innovation like a cheaper LED, there are no logistics to get cheap Germanium or Cobalt from Africa, no industrialists who can lend their fab or factory, no pool of electricians and assembly managers to start production and no Instrumentation/Chemical consultancies to make the concept into a product. 3. What India needs is trade volumes and logistics. Historically it's always been a state backed venture from the Dutch East India company to DHL to American Railroad companies to Maersk to Nippon Logistics to COSCO. Adani is playing that part for India. I bet you never read about his foreign ports and ultrapure Silicon ingot manufacturing. 4. Modi is doing everything MMS should have and hoped Kejriwal would. Increasing infrastructure, PLIs for core manufacturing, projection of international interest and bringing in a cycle of consolidation (15 year pain for a 100 year gain). Kejriwal is stuck in the old paradigm of welfare politics. I discussed these things with examples of Botswana and Vietnamese examples with IAC members who went on to form AAP a full decade ago.
