Well a cursory reading of history tells you Patel ceded because of Gandhi. He frequently had disagreements with Nehru to the point, he offered to quit multiple times.

@dizzyb111 your reply reminds me of high school vivas. What is the difference between communism and capitalism? "Dono ne kiya, soch samajh ke kiya hoga. Par dono logon ko help kiya." Ffs, grow up. It doesn't take much to realise every side has lies. But Nehru is the one who built a state propaganda machine that survives.
