@BharatThatIsIndia dharna is considered as work where ever you have student politics. Eliminate student politics for a mayoral system like most mature democratic processes in the world. This has nothing to do with the BJP or Congress. It's a relic of our pre-independence source for youth leadership. It's maladaptive today.

@BharatThatIsIndia all of the above including protest if the people are the ones doing it. Not the opposition. Our standards in politics are so horrid that student/activist politicians spend a decade protesting, a decade learning on the job only to turn into the same politician they opposed in the first place. They learn to make promises before they learn to make a budget, manage a workforce or learn executive decision making. This can be avoided if we draw from a pool of mayor's instead of students/activists.
