Comments by "Rutvik" (@rutvikrs) on "Congress is finished, should stop asking questions about them, says Arvind Kejriwal in Ahmedabad" video.
There is a difference between running a city and a state. He has not made the system more efficient, he is overspending on everything.

@chesswithsagar 1. You are misinterpreting my statement to mean people should stay in their lane when I am pointing out that Kejriwal has not solved the scaling problem. It's easier to provide a mohalla clinic in Delhi which already was relatively developed. That is not possible even in a state like Karnataka which has money and doctors but the size is the problem. 2. He has taken over a city which has been a revenue surplus UT for a decade and is even running a fiscal deficit. That is not a universal phenomenon. More than half of our states are running a deficit both fiscally and in terms of revenue. How will the party deliver in such a state? 3. I have actually worked with these guys in their earlier form IAC as a consulting economist. He is just living a bureaucrats wet dream in Delhi. Anyone can walk into a revenue surplus entity like a company/government and spend to make people happy. He has not taken a single difficult decision on cutting back till date. 4. Be it IAC or AAP, they are running on a social fiction that corruption is the only problem. Even when pointed out with numbers, they fail to change course. Worse still they invert the problem, if a neta is getting free power, get him/her to pay up. You don't give out free power to poor people to make up for it. By that logic, Neta kids get away with breaking the law, should the effort be to have a stable consistent law and order of let go of poor people for the same crime?

@chesswithsagar 5. I have no problem with people who learn from their mistakes. These people are unwilling to listen and bargain with reality. I have not encountered such a delusional bunch in any other country(I have even worked in Sub Suharan Africa for the UN). 6. They are jeopardizing the very expectation of a state and its role. The state is not a franchise or a club that "gives more benefits than you pay for" for the taxpayer. If every state that earns money like TN, GJ, KA, MH, and others start prioritising local welfare schemes at the cost of capex which is left to the center, we are in for a humanitarian disaster and anti migrant politics. 7. Modi was voted in for his success in GJ over 3-4 tenures. People forget the amount of development he oversaw in the state that was devastated by an earthquake. In comparision, AAP has had a free ride all along. I want a political alternative to Modi as I am not completely happy with his performance, but Kejriwal's economics is atrocious and focuses on Nordic end goals. We don't have trust funds, NATO to substitute for military spending, oil reserves or even an income tax base to be able to afford that.

@jaswindersinghnarula4379 compare the area of Delhi and India. I sincerely want an alternative to BJP. AAP is not it. They are a rehash of the old bureaucrat's dreams.

@jaswindersinghnarula4379 then I urge you to join the party activities and talk to them. I worked with IAC for close to 5 years as a consulting economist. They mean well but are delusional on economics. I know at least a dozen academics who realised the grift and went abroad. BJP is the least worst of the lot. My support for them is not an ideological bias but a result of experience with multiple political parties.
