  1. The states reorganization based on linguistic grounds is yet another Congress burden the nation has to bear. People have started to backdate their linguistic identities and associated historical kingdoms and empires to states. Ask any language chaunuvist to name a war started for a language in Indian history. There aren't any but the same person will say that this or that territory belonged to our empire. Royalty is dead, feudalism needs to die and it's time to divide the states on a better rationale. PS: Haul up Fadnavis(for that ill-stated comment), Shinde(for choosing to inherit a bad fight) and Bommai(for retaliation). I'm from north Karnataka and am writing to my local BJP office on this. Nothing good will come out of this tit for tat. It's not just Bjp that needs to take action, its people too.

  2.  @DevoteeOfAergia  no doubt they were pressured into it initially. But it's equally true that it was implemented, celebrated and used for politicking by Congress in more than one state. Congress did more than enough to keep it in the political consideration of the electorate more than any nativist. Just go back to the rhetoric post creation of Telangana to see how Sonia was portrayed.
