@amandeep9930 Abhijit Iyer Mitra makes this point about services being useless without a manufacturing base. A simple example, Asian paints have manufacturing, years of marketing and decades of data on multiple markets. It makes sense to have an R&D in chemistry and instrumentation; and services ventures in sales apps or interior design. Most people in India don't have domain expertise to conduct any kind of business in the services industry, we pick up the odd jobs that G20 can't fill numerically and call it our "services industry". The best of us have to leave shores simply because there is no backward integration of manufacturing. If I came up with a new LED, there is no pool of low level soldering talent, no shipping network to obtain rare earth from Africa and no domestic Silicon ingot production(Adani has changed this recently).

That is what happens when you systematically choose a human farm education system, domestic substitution instead of trade volumes and continuous subsidisation of the poor. You find out your median population isn't economically competitive.
