@saif9765 I agree with you in part. There is a huge swathe of young Muslims who are open minded, progressive and even with atheistic tendencies. However institutionally, Muslims are regressive. The same individuals get forced to comply to conservative community standards. I hope this changes.

@N9745H8 regressive does not mean luddite. Islamic institutions not individuals are socially regressive. Example: you can have a few individuals who start a LGBTQ friendly mosque in the west, but the Islamic clergy will never accept anything outside of heterosexuality. The ullema will denounce such a mosque
