The chanting and singing in unison comes from the chanting you’d do with your fellow men before a battle.. and some of the matches ARE like battles It’s 2 armies facing each other and that’s the vibe

Just for reference.. if you have blood alcohol level of 3.0 you are in coma unless you are a serious alcoholic.. so having 5.5 would be deadly for almost everyone
9
serious alcoholic
8
@walkir2662 that’s pretty much exactly how football started
7
There are clubs/Bars that never close as well.. In St. Pauli for example..
6
cause they get told that everything in europe shuts down at 6pm and NOTHING is open on sundays..
4
@juancrl2 Its the same in the US.. its even more expensive.. You can easily pay 15-16 bucks for a simple beer in a club but since clubs close to early (mostly at 2am) people just binge drink and get into fights.. Partying in the US is just deadful..
3
@MasonRamon-n6c it goes down to the 13th league some places..lol
2
@Hamsterdam91 WAY before that.. probably already at 1 or slightly above that if you barely drink
2

2
@itsJerryMe And then you have american style stroads that are neither one of them and dont work at all for anything!
2
drawing penises and fart jokes have a long history in europe..
2
German cops NEVER go alone.. theyre always two! Only exeption ive seen so called "Kontaktbeamte" in Hamburg , which are local police officers that walk or bike certain streets/neighborhoods and act as someone to talk to on a low threshold about everyday problems or just to complain a bit without the need to go to the police station and filing a report.. these officers are often from the area and know the people there by name and build trust re-inforcement is just a couple streets away.. This concept exists almost everywhere in germany but where i live, they walk in pairs only..
2
@MichaelBurggraf-gm8vl There were africans in the german empire in the late 19th century already. Martin Dibobe was made famous for the first black person becoming a tram driver in Berlin in 1900!
2
A lot of the clubs in europe have different sports within the club.. the clubs are usually NOT business but member owned football, basketball, athletics etc.. so many of the fans/ultras will support not only the football team but the teams of the other sports within their club as well..
2
They literally did zero research into germany. for example they sold pillow cases straight from US production.. problem here, US pillows have a completely different size and shape than german pillows so the pillow cases were useless for germans... they also sold electronic devices with US plugs which are entirely different than german ones.. They also fired people for no reason and then were completely stunned that thats illegal in germany so they had to pay the fired people large amounts of compensation after losing in court...
2
same in germany.. a beer without foam goes right back to the bar
2
having more than 1-2 cars is unusual in germany gas and insurance is very expensive..
1
London used to have double decker trams as well In some areas of London double decker buses cant be used cause the bridges are too low
1
Last year i drove in the US for the first time.. Its terrible.. most people cant drive for shit
1
Ive tried to cross the Mexican-US border and they held me for 2h cause the superior(!) border agent claimed that I have a fake passport. He argued that my German passport must be fake cause the US wiped out Germany in 1945 and therefore Germany ceased to exist. He truly believed that! Took them several phone calls (among them the German embassy!) to let me go. He called it an „exeption“.. Absolute dumbfuck
1
These massive factories (BMW, AUDI, etc.) have their own fire departments and emergency vehicles.. they also assist the regular governemnt emergency services during big emergencies outside the factories
1
@danielefabbro822 American italians have little to NOTHING to do with italians in italy! Barely any of the 4-5th generation american italians even speak italian.. and if you eat spaghetti with meatballs youre CERTAINLY NOT italian!
1
@Anson_AKB well, almost all police forces in europe are armed too..
1
25 days vacation? Only 25? 30 is the standard in Germany
1
The Eurostar runs between London and Paris/Brussels/Amsterdam.. You go through the Eurotunnel under the english channel.. London to Paris is only about 2 hours.. Considering security and waiting times its WAY faster than flying
1
Well, in the US you gotta tip 25%.. in europe you gotta pay 1 buck for the restroom..
1
Too much sugar and salt.. Thats why americans are constantly thirsty
1
Thats NOT an exegeration for germany.. Just this weekend i got home at 6:30am from the club.. Clubs often dont close until 7-8am, some not at all in larger cities like Berlin or Hamburg there are bars and clubs that are open 24/7.. We DONT have a mandatory last call.. Alcohol can be sold 24/7.. thats why its worth it for the owners..
1
Even these tiny teams are often 100 years old and have big history
1
Snyders of Hanover (the pretzel company) is actually from Hanover PA, and not from GErmany. But obviously Hanover in PA is named after Hanover in Germany so there is some kind of connection
1
@feroxk.9266 With pre-drinking.. sure
1
Fahrenheit just makes no logical sense to me.. Freezing point at 32.. what? And Americans also never say a specific number in Fahrenheit.. It’s always“in the 60s“ or „in the 40s“…
1
Electricity in Germany is the most expensive IN THE WORLD.. so we dont want power-hungry ACs that are useless 90% of the year
1
Americans inability to understand street signs that have no text never fails to amuse me
1
Only American tourists would be crazy enough to wanna drive in the middle of Munich 😂
1
Dont american do grave care for the graves of their dead realtives? like planting and watering plants?
1
Qatar has ZERO football culture.. in europe pretty much every country has football culture.. thats the difference.. Also being able to just have a drink on the street
1
GErmany alone has about 30.000 football (soccer clubs).. and most clubs have more than just one team the german football association has 10(!) million members.. there are literally millions of people in germany playing amateuer football in a league.. the top 3 leagues are the professionals
1
The fact that THIS is still allowed in germany where everything is very regulated and dangerous stuff gets banned never fails to amaze me
1
Americans always have a drink with them everywhere.. It’s really weird.. But their food is full of salt which is unhealthy 6 glasses of water is close to 3 liters.. that just insane..
