  1. You do realize this is going to be brought up before The Supreme Court, there are going to be lawsuits filed. You have the federal government forcing energy suppliers to buy energy from an outdated and expensive source. This is as idiotic as if the government suggested forcing people to have landlines? Coal is an old industry that we do not need anymore it's a third world resource we have multiple sources to produce energy we don't need coal.

  2. Romulas Ex Where I live our electricity is generated by a natural gas power plant. They used to use call 8 years ago but they converted to natural gas because it's cheaper.

  3. AbelieverofourLord That's great, if they can make a Profit making any of these products you cited, great for the coal industry. But forcing an entire industry to support the coal industry at the point of a gun and that's exactly what they're doing because there are penalties attached if they don't, is what a dictator does. I was critical when Barack Obama did a similar thing with solar energy in his support of those solar energy plants that he dumped taxpayers money into and I'm critical of this. The government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers this is a free market let these Executives choose on their own.

AbelieverofourLord For a second time, because it would appear you have the reading comprehension of a five-year-old, my argument and my point is about the [free market] the government should not be picking winners and losers. If an industry is incapable of making a profit due to a lack of sales the government should stay out of it.
