  1. Peter is being VERY diplomatic here. Texas is run by Republicans who believe that the National Power grid is too regulated, so they removed themselves from it! The Texas power grid routinely has the worst service and maintenance record in the United States. Rolling blackouts, power loss for weeks at a time due to natural disasters, and price gouging due to high demand. When Texas was hit with an ice storm and half the state lost power for three weeks, the state of Texas (Governor Abbott) tried to blame renewable energy infrastructure for failing. Then the Republican Run States of Alaska called the Governor of Texas a LIAR! Alaska has the exact same renewable energy infrastructure and has three of the same winter storms every year BUT the Alaska wind generators are WINTERIZED!

  2. I admit to being an idiot, but I shut up one of these opponents of solar by asking why don't they build a (Solar Reactor) that works 24 hours per day? Step 1: build a solar farm. Step 2: build sand batteries underground to be heated by solar to 1400℉. Step 3: Build a steam generator and water reservoir on top of the sand battery to heat the water to power the steam generator. I've yet to have an engineer tell me why this clean energy solution will not work?
