A piece of land & your own place to do what you want with it. It's a great feeling having a sense of ownership. Renting is just momney down the drain. With your own home you have equity.

@markadler8968 Owning a condo is a step up from renting, but you do have a shared wall with a neighbor. Having a home means some space between the neighbors.

@kingsiegfried8568 No matter how many rooms you have in your house you can always use another. I have a three bedroom house and I could use another room. Even if I do a big purge and throw away things I don't need I could still use another room. I'd love to have a dedicated room for my home gym, and maybe another room dedicated to my recording studio. It's nice not to feel cramped, and having some space is a good feeling. But you do you.

@markadler8968 Good perspective. I've heard about how crazy expensive real estate is in Canada. That's insane. $3 million would buy you a nice house and a lot of land in certain parts of the US.

It seems like a waste of money for Blackrock to buy up all the homes if the plan is to herd us all into Fifteen Minute open air prisons. All those homes would be a bad investment. 2030 is six years away. Are they going to bulldoze all the homes they buy and repurpose the land?
