  1. Because EU leaders are either bought or threatened by the USA. Italy was never a big supporter of Ukraine for example. We (Italians, especially here in the North) like Russia, have big businesses with Russia and used to have cheap Russian gas. Meloni is a servant to Washington like no other Italian leader before.

  7. Italians stand with Russia and Palestine. Has been like this since post WWII and will always be. Meloni is not speaking for Italians, she is a Washington puppet. She is not even speaking for her government allies, who are pro-Russia. And even her own party is full of old-school fascists who hate Israel because they are antisemitic (the real antisemitic, not the pro-Palestine supporters). Russia and Palestina have supporters on both the Left and the far Right in Italy, for different reasons. Germany is a basket case about Israel, because of history obviously. But most European countries are not like Germany at all. Italy was the biggest supporter of the PLO in the West.

  10.  @sandhurster  in the government, things started to change in the 90s, but I do not remember any Italian PM as pro-Israel as Meloni (although many people in her party are antisemitic). In public opinion, Israel still has no simpathy from most Italians.

  13. Especially here in Italy. Even Meloni, who is the most obviously bought by Washington Italian leader ever, is against a full on war with Russia. No Italian citzen would approve. We have alot of business deals with Russia and China. We have a history of friendship with both countries.

  16. Yes, it is clear to many Europeans. I know it is clear to us Italians. But most European leaders are bought or threatened by the USA. They are spineless. Italians love Russia. This is not OUR war. This is an American war to destroy both the EU and Russia. The USA knows that the EU plus Russia would be a powerful rival. So they want to destroy us 😞
