Here in SouthAfrica we're used to Rolling Black-outs since 2006. Many people have Generators, the only problem I've see with those is a sudden Fuel-shortage. I have enough food to feed my Family for roughly a year, Firewood for maybe 2 years. But this is something I have been doing for years now, because in South Africa food prices have been steadily rising since 1999, sometimes several times a year. But there's always something that you forget, especially those items you're not buying constantly.

It would be great to read people’s opinions as to how this experiment to make a Mouse Utopia which resulted in extinction, relates to anything human now or ever.

@germicanlifestyle9069 - Buying them is not the problem, installing is not the problem, "licensing" them is. I know a place called Dassisfontain, they plastered their entire roof with Solar and are not allowed to use their own Electricity because a ESKOM Overland Line runs past their property. They have to feed it into the grid, for next to nothing - and have to buy it back for an Arm and a Leg. A friend of mine also placed Solar Panels on his roof, 8 month ago, and has still no permission to connect them to his home. This those bastards come actually check. Insane.

@querida1809 - In some Municipalities they make you now PAY for the Water you've collected in your Rainwater Tanks. A few years back when we had the draught they begged you to buy those tanks to collect the Rainwater, now they charge you for those. Go figure.
