@consumer5631 The US has money sovereignty, which means they create it out of nothing. When the US issues government bonds and bills, they actually destroy money. The same thing happens when you pay your taxes. All of that money gets destroyed. See Modern Monetary Theory for the details.

@clerklymantis4661 This is how it always goes. First the wealthy get tons of tax dollars. Then the inflation scare sets in. Then that scare is used as an excuse to force the people to live in austerity.
