  2. Unfortunately, many Westerners believe that Japan is behind the West because it is different from the West, and they try to Westernize Japan by denying the Japanese culture and way of thinking. Colonialism ended 100 years ago, but Westerners' mindset has not changed since then. Even then, they destroyed civilizations around the world, imposed their religions, and westernized the rest of the world.
