  1. It is not widely known, but during the U.S. occupation of Japan from 1945 to 1952, crimes by U.S. soldiers were rampant. Sexual crimes were the most common, with thousands of Japanese women being r*ped by American soldiers every day. In 1946, 50 U.S. soldiers broke into a hospital in Tokyo and r*ped more than 50 female patients who had been hospitalized, including a two-year-old child who was raped and beaten to death on the floor. And they were never even tried because of the privilege of being a victorious nation.
