Although I wouldn’t want it admissible in a court, I’ve never quite understood why all cases like this don’t include a lie detector test. Given that Letby was convicted on circumstantial evidence and not direct evidence, I often think lie detector tests could clarify things a little, notwithstanding that polygraphs are accurate between 80% and 90% of the time.

@hambonejamboree7750 Selective quoting. Anyone can do that, m8. The government actually uses them currently as ploygraph examinations have been successfully used in the management of people convicted of sexual offences since 2014 in the Probation Service. So, I repeat, it’s quite commonly accepted that they are about 80-90% accurate but, of course, not infallible. 👍😊
