All very admirable etc. What I’m vaguely concerned about is your slight virtue signalling tone and preachiness and “y’all shud live like me, else planet will die, bro” manner. Live your life. Perhaps even tell us about it and make recommendations. Thing is, though: we don’t all want to live like Gandhi.👍

@Dirgis-66 Huh? You have no clue about my “lifestyle”. You might wanna fact-check before you make silly claims, son.😉👍

In the case of melting sea ice, not so much. Melting sea ice, such as the Arctic ice cap, does not change sea level because the ice displaces its volume. However, if the planet is warming (it is - my only question in all this is just how much mankind is complicit), the added water from melting ice sheets and glaciers, and the expansion of seawater as it warms, will indeed raise sea levels. If it all melts, by 60-70m.

Well, if this is the case it’s going to make it much harder to p-p-pick up a penguin! 🐧

@tastypymp1287 *you’re 🤦♂️

@MrQuestful “I think we can all start the journey of driving less and riding alt-vehicles more.” ~ Again, too preachy, dare I say, vaguely hectoring. I don’t drive. Walk everywhere or use public transport, but I know many people who do not want to “drive less” for reasons of enjoyment, practicality and a combination of the two. To speak of the larger theme here (ie. global warming), I believe the planet is warming (I know dozens who don’t), my only real question is just how much is humankind complicit in this warming?

@Dirgis-66 “Grandpa”?! Lol. Off beam once again, chumpster! 🤣
1
@MrQuestful Nah. Not convinced of humankind’s substantial impact here. Doesn’t mean I don’t try to walk gently on Earth, if only because everything is finite (including the sun itself!), but I’m still not sold on humankind’s large impact on the temperature rises we are experiencing.
1
@badman1481 It’s “kind of true” in your opinion.
1
@Dirgis-66 Huh? I don’t drive. Wtf. 🤦♂️
1
@Dirgis-66 Not denying anything. I’m suggesting an alternative. Humankind’s activities may play some part in warming, but no one has credibly established the scale of this human complicity, for me. As I say, I tend to have a low carbon footprint anyway, so either way, I’m guilt-free! 😉

@MrQuestful “Health implications”? Uh huh. So your diktats stray into people’s personal health now, do they? All sounds remarkably controlling and “live like me, folks, or else!” Sinister.
1
@MrQuestful Not at all. I just don’t particularly like your holier-than-thou tone at the point where you appear to be foisting it on others. As I say, you live your life, I’ll live mine, just don’t dictate what I can and cannot do in the same way I’m not doing this to you. 👍
1
@MrQuestful My alternative is that I don’t fully buy the 100% manmade global warming script. That’s all.
1
@MrQuestful Yes it is. It’s my alternative theory. You buy it, I don’t. 2 different alternatives.
1
@Dirgis-66 No it’s not. I repeat: you have absolutely no clue how I live my life. Get a researcher and do your due diligence before imputing stuff to me you clearly know nothing about.
1
@Dirgis-66 You did great in this debate. It was an honor meeting you. Fact deniers are a tough crowd. Cringe.

@Dirgis-66 Projecting again, dearie?😉👍
1
@Dirgis-66 That all you got? I’ll take that. Have a nice day! 👍😊
