2024 and we’re still doing this stuff. Never got the ‘hate what another human does when it comes to their sexual orientation’ memo. Makes utterly no sense. I tend to dislike people for their ideas, their beliefs, their opinions, their dress-sense, and not something over which they have utterly no say or control. It’s like dissing people with a different skin colour. Pointless. Not only pointless, but totally stupid and moronic, as no one chooses their skin colour, just as no one chooses their sexuality. But here’s the clincher for me: even if we did choose our skin colour and sexuality, it still wouldn’t bother me one iota that some random has a different skin colour or sexuality. The sooner we can move beyond this primitive nonsense as a species, the better. If it’s consenting adults, it’s quite simply no one else’s business what they get up to. To me, being homophobic is a bit like feeling resentful of someone digging Uranus because you’re not an astronomer! 🔭

Edmundo Escomel reported on the case of Lina Medina in the medical journal La Presse Médicale, including that her menarche had occurred at eight months of age, in contrast to previous reports that she had had regular periods since the age of three or two and a half. So, she was menstruating before she was 1. Presumably this is fair game for you Muslims because, after all, a child is considered an ‘adult’ when she has her first period? 🤦‍♂️

@teatreeoil-d9m The reason you perceive things as ‘going backwards’ a bit (I agree) is the hectoring, vocal minority wing of the LGBT movement. The bit that shoves it all in your face and the bit that forces everyone to believe biological sex can be changed on a whim. Zero issue homosexuality. Zero issue with those confused about their identity vis-a-vis their sex/gender. My issue is when I’m forced to go along with the idea that boys and girls who have gone through puberty can suddenly claim to be the opposite. I’m with JK Rowling on this particular point.
