Well done, Thailand! 👏 As an agnostic, I have zero time for organised religion generally, but as Thailand is 93% Buddhist (and homosexuality and transgenderism are not prohibited by Buddhist teachings and are sometimes seen as the result of a past life's gender asserting itself in the present) gays and trans people are allowed to live relatively hassle-free. No, it’s the patriarchal, intolerant monotheisms (particularly Islam and Christianity) who cramp gays’ style. If you look around the world where gay people are most stigmatised, it’s invariably in strongly Muslim or strongly Christian countries.
