If I were an alien who had just landed on this planet, and you told me that 1 person had $44 billion, while 10,000 people die of avoidable hunger every day, my instant thought would be that this planet is deeply, deeply primitive. 👽

If I had $44 billion to throw away on a here today gone tomorrow social media company, when I knew that money could be going to alleviate a certain amount of suffering, I would be throwing it at the suffering. I don’t care how hard Elon Musk has worked; no human has worked $44 billion harder than the next human. Personally, I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night in his shoes.

Me giving away $750 of my $1000 is gonna sting me far more than Musk giving away $43 billion of his $44 billion. That’s why, it’s far from BS.
