I’m from Edinburgh. In 2017 they erected some supposedly ‘temporary’ horrendous barriers at each end of part of the Royal Mile. A reaction to Manchester Arena bombing, amongst other things. They are still there, ugly as ever, 7 years on. This will only get worse, btw. It’s the new norm. We, and those who follow us, will he living under this kind of security, and worse, for decades to come. All because of 1 demographic.
