Just get on with it and knock down Old Trafford (it was an underwhelming stadium even before the recent leaks etc.) and build a stadium to rival the Camp Nou, the Bernabeu, the New White Hart Lane or the San Siro. (Yes, yes, I know the San Siro is going to be decommissioned, but it’s still one of the greatest amphitheatres in world football.)

@ravd8082 Something like that. OT is currently 74,000. 90,000 sounds about right.

@ricco3480 Well, the current one is 74,000 and if they’re going to build a new stadium they’ll probably stick on (at least) another 10,000.

@roylaw7765 I agree it’s a bit tatty, but I was actually talking more about the sense of being breathtaking. The Nou Camp takes your breath away, as does the Bernabeu and the San Siro and (to a lesser extent) the New White Hart Lane. Old Trafford, even in pristine condition, never took my breath away. It’s an underwhelming looking stadium, relatively speaking.
