  1. This is actually nothing to do with the art and the sex of the artist per se; it’s to do with who’s buying the art. 70% are men. This figure goes up even higher when it comes to who goes for the most expensive works. Men want works by men, by and large. Simple demand and supply, ultimately, but more demand in this case. 🖼
