This is in the context of critical theory. Without knowing his background I would suggest his background is critical theory. The problem with doing critical theory is the need to have a solid understand of thinkers that this domain is built upon, such as deleuze, habermas etc. Doing a critique of these thinker is two fold, introducing the background and producing content. If you have nothing better to do go back though his content and I suspect you may find that this video is consistent, However, I would partially agree with you but in I would consider this content within my expectations and add that he may have more room to add longer videos because patreon is getting there.
