If this story I've read is true, it's a stunning strategic use of their artillery, which I'm assuming is their new batteries of M777s located in 6 the high ground west of Severodonetsk. The infantry in the city drew the Russians in Then, when they had exhausted themselves, the Ukrainians counter attacked, pushing them back But then, they opened up with the artillery, cutting off the Russian infantry's paths of retreat. The Russians were sandwiched between infantry and artillery Oh and apparently they're advancing artillery has destroyed all the cover they could have used to batten down. If this is true and not retroactively declaring it their plan all along, well, round of applause. Encircling units without risking your infantry

That Chinook carrying an M777, is all the crew and supplies in the helicopter as well? Because that would be amazing.

Well, if you can build a tractor to be remote disabled over the internet there bloody well should be a function on this that causes it to explode when you send the correct command over the internet. Also, if the computer doesn't receive regular pings, created using public asynchronous key encryption (to prevent spoofing) it automatically self destructs Also destruct on: 1) Opening the case without first sending a message to disable self destruct 2) Not receiving regular disable commands while the case is open 3) In any way touching the self destruct bomb 4) Failed user authentication when booting the computer And so on

@ForOne814 I don't know that. And, frankly, neither do you. I mean, the story I read was by somebody there and connected And it does fit the events. And it does match the strategies Ukraine has used to great effect. Ultimately, they have taken back large portions of the city. Their elevated artillery positions were in the perfect spot, easy targets behind the Russian front lines and well out of range of Russian artillery several hundred yards closer to sea level. Not to mention the fact that this strategy of artillery behind the lines and raining death on the enemies supply lines and exit routes was described in this very video as what commanders want from their indirect batteries. Time will tell?

But, if M982 requires the computer, they don't have that computer AND Canada is sending their M982 rounds, well, what's going on? Do Canadian 777s have a different computer which they're happy to hand over?

Well, the digital fire control AND the fact that it is British! ,☕🧐👍🇬🇧 🤣😏😉😉😉

@Taskandpurpose At the end of the day, all that happens to the M982 in the breach is a text file gets copied onto it. The file will contain coordinates, trajectory, atmospheric and local weather data and detonation effect. Patch the Ukrainian software running on their native computer to be able to collate the data, generate the correct data file and how to handshake with the M982. Then, pull trigger! 🤷♂️
