They should team up with RAROG who make plastic disintegrating links for 7.62x54mmR in Ukraine. Make plastic 7.62x54mmR for their plastic links, it'll weigh nothing! Also they can lend their polymer expertise to each other and make lots of linked ammo safely over the Atlantic, vintage lend lease style. Nice.
